WatchThe Cave Rescue Team and Barstow Desert Rescue Squad spent the day practicing low-angle litter evacuations. We focused on tricky anchors and the passing of knots through the mainline and belay systems.

Tony Jacquet Found!
At 1050 this morning Tony Jacquet was found near Big Falls in Forest Falls. It looks as if he was the victim of a fall. Below is an approximate location.

The Search for Tony Jacquet
Yeserday Mark Kinsey and I were inserted at Red Ridge near the summit of Mt. San Gorgonio. Our assignment was to search the Vivian Creek Trail from that point to the bottom. Our missing person suffers from a seizure disorder, and as such, when he recovers from one of these events, he does not remember the events just prior. This meant that our searching required us to search off-trail as well.

Mark Kinsey and I have just been inserted via helo at Red Ridge on the Vivian Creek Trail. Our assignment is to search the trail down for our missing hiker, Tony Jacquet (35 yrs old). Good weather. Starting 0940. JL
